The ideal candidate appreciates and enjoys sales, loves wine and has the ability to establish and retain customer relationships.
We are looking for a talented, motivated sales professional with an established client base to join our sales team. A desirable candidate will be a driven salesperson with a background in high end, fine wine sales. This position will focus entirely on sales within our fine and rare section, with a focus on developing their client list.
We are seeking a candidate with an enthusiastic, personable and professional style, strong interpersonal skills, an appreciation and knowledge of fine wine, an ability and willingness to work and succeed in a hectic environment. Weekends and evenings are required.
Qualifications:
- ***Must have Fine Wine retail experience in Manhattan***
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Maximizing opportunities for wine and spirits sales
- Telephone sales skills (primarily, the ability to cold call and make wine recommendations).
- Product knowledge of the world's major wine producing areas.
- Knowledge of food and wine pairing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude
- A pro-active and enthusiastic attitude toward maximizing all sales opportunities.
- Must possess at least intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Word & Excel

Hourly wage: Commensurate with experience, plus commission.
