We are seeking passionate Sommeliers to compete in our exciting Sommelier Showdown Event in NYC. The first rounds will take place on Wednesday, March 18th, and Tuesday, April 7th, with the Grand Finale on Tuesday, April 28th. The competition will be held at Leonetta Restaurant and will begin at 6:00 PM.
Qualifications:
- Actively working as a Sommelier in the Wine Industry
- Respected professional with a strong reputation
- Excellent public speaking skills
- In-depth knowledge of food and wine pairing
- Strong organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Select the optimal wine pairing from the restaurant’s provided wine list
- Attend a menu tasting scheduled prior to the event
- Present your chosen wine on the evening of the competition and explain your selection
- Be available to attend both the first round and the finale (if you advance)
