We represent the best portfolio of Portuguese Wines and Spirits in the USA .Aidil Wines & Liquors is now also strongly committed to developing a strong Italian, Spanish, Chilean and Argentinean portfolio. We also carry Oregon, French wines, as well as beers from Portugal and Brazil, and spirits from Portugal and Brazil (Cachaca Velho Barreiro).
We have 1 opening in NY City (Manhattan & Brooklyn). The sales representative should live in the respective territory.
We are seeking a professional, hard working and energetic sales representative that will be responsible for the increase of sales in the territory through developing existing customers or opening new ones, whether there are On Trade outlets (restaurants, bars, hotels) or Off Trade (Wine & Liquor stores). He will introduce new products; negotiate special visibility or wine by the glass, train the staff, as well as help reduce customer’s stock with activities such as in-store tastings or wine of the month. He will also be responsible to follow up on invoicing, deliveries and collections.
We require:
• 3 plus years experience working in the wine industry as a wholesale sales representative. A previous experience with solid knowledge of a portfolio of customers is clearly a valued asset.
• Knowledge of fine wines, namely Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and South American.
• Familiarity with on and off premise accounts in New York City (Manhattan and Brooklyn).
• Individuals must possess strong selling skills and excellent verbal communication/presentation skills. Exceptional organizational skills are also necessary.
• Ability to work some evenings
• Dedication to excellent customer service
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Internet.
• Knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish language and culture is a plus.
The sales representative must have the ability to attend regular sales meeting at our office in Newark, NJ. The sales representative must have the ability to lift a case of wine.
