Wine Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Duties include:

•  Engage customers, make wine recommendations and sales (walk-in, phone and internet).
•  Pour and discuss wines in the wine bar.
•  Process wine order sales including packing wine to ship for wine clubs, ecommerce, mail orders, etc.
•  Website, inventory & customer database updates and events postings.
•  Advanced computer literacy 
•  Maintain overall appearance of wine shop, including light duty cleaning.
•  Moving/lifting cases of wine (40 lbs.) to stock wine.
•  Work weekends, evenings, non-traditional business hours and holidays.

The right person for the job:

•  Has a foundation in international fine wine knowledge (Napa Valley, California and Wines of the World).
•  Is comfortable talking about wine and maintain a fun, engaging environment for customers.
•  Has a desire to learn more about wine, retail wine sales, and ecommerce sales.
•  Is a creative thinker, goal-oriented and able to multi-task and work independently.
•  Physically callable of lifting a case of wine and standing for long periods of time.
•  Possesses a sense of personal responsibility includes professionalism, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
•  Having or pursuing WSET/CMS courses is a plus 
•  Wine sales experience is a plus.

Hourly wage at $20/hour & includes a generous wine discount.
