Public Relations Content Writer (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

As a Public Relations Content Writer, you’ll help craft the voice of our wine and spirit products. You’ll be part of the Brand Public Relations team, focusing on the development of key communications and content for our portfolio of wine and spirits. 

 

What You Will Do

PR Content Development:

  • Writing creative and captivating content that is consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice
  • Creating content for internal messaging, tasting notes, press releases, speeches, media responses and educational copy
  • Collaborating with key cross functional partners will give you the edge in developing content and editorial strategies that maximize the reach and impact of content
  • By developing compelling content, you’ll help support marketing strategies across a diverse portfolio of wine and spirits
  • Your content will act as the voice of the brand(s) in a wide variety of mediums, such as media outreach, video and presentations.
  • Research and measure the effectiveness of marketing communication programs to ensure your content resonates with our audiences

  • Every day, you get to collaborate with cross-functional partners, such as Brand Management, Creative Services, and Direct to Consumer, and work effectively in the development and execution of content

 

What You Need

 

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of copywriting, communications, public relations, event management, brand marketing, or wine sales management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience writing brand copy, including press kits, speeches, articles, digital and social content, using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting the most complex documents.
  • Experience responding effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from the media, clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Experience making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to key cross-functional partners.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word at an advanced level; MS Excel an intermediate level; MS Access and PowerPoint a basic level.
  • Skilled in the use of social media platforms (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

 

What Will Set You Apart

 

  • Knowledge of wine industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism plus 4 years of copywriting, communications, or public relations reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with effectively influencing across multiple organizational boundaries and position levels.
  • Skilled in understanding the interface between communications strategies and brand marketing strategies.
  • Skilled in understanding promotional events and their strategic interface with marketing strategies.
  • Strong sense of urgency and creativity.
  • Detail-orientation and accuracy.
