Membership Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The Napa Valley Grapegrowers has an outreach and membership role open! This person will share the value and importance of being an NVG member as they host events, neighborhood gatherings, and communicate with current and potential members.

Membership Outreach
•  Develop and manage membership outreach plan
•  Host and promote regular meetings with current and potential members to communicate the value of membership
•  Meet membership growth goals as established annually

Member Relations
•  Act as staff liaison to membership
•  Manage membership database
•  Manage membership GIS map and update as needed (no prior GIS experience required)
•  Assess value for each membership category and make recommendations to enhance benefits
•  Manage the Board of Directors liaison program

3. Oversee the quality and relevance of all member events
Annual Membership Meeting
Annual Dinner
Other coffees and wine receptions as outlined

Member Communications
•  Work with the Marketing & Communications Committee to fulfill the membership objectives of the Marketing Plan
•  Provide input on weekly Grower Bulletin newsletters as they relate to membership
•  Prepare and send membership correspondence

Provide general support to the Board of Directors
•  Prepare monthly Board of Directors membership report
•  Prepare biannual Board of Directors membership presentation

•  At least 3 years in sales-related position
•  Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
•  Experience or interest in Napa Valley winegrape growing 
•  Solid work ethic and organizational skills
•  Strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality
•  Advanced abilities to create, maintain, and report budgets
•  Demonstrated success managing accounts and performing analyses
•  Proficiency in Excel and Word. Experience with CRM and/or database software
•  Experience with the sales and management of a luxury brand a plus
•  Ability to assist with event set up, breakdown, and coordination
•  Ability to work with management, colleagues, and people throughout the business and industry at every level

These are required to perform the key responsibilities of the job with or without accommodations
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
•  Must be able to walk, stand, climb, hear, see, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a daily basis
•  Must be able to drive a reliable vehicle

•  Must possess a valid state driver's license
•  Must have a clean motor vehicle record
•  This job requires the use of your personal vehicle, for which you will be reimbursed for business-related driving expenses
•  Must be able to sell, work with and around alcoholic beverages
