Visitor Center Host (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

We are looking for a hardworking, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our hospitality and sales team. This is a part-time position (weekends, weekdays, special events, & holidays) at prestigious Benton-Lane Winery in Monroe.

Essential Duties

Our Visitor Center Hosts are focused on creating memorable experiences, and providing friendly, knowledgeable and responsive guest service. Responsible for hosting a variety of tasting experiences and educating guests about our wines and our winery. Hosts actively invite and sign up new wine club members, assisting guests in the selection and purchase of wines.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, opening and closing the tasting room, end of the day reports, stocking inventory, and cleaning of tasting room and outdoor patio area. Wine passion and knowledge are a plus.

•  Enjoys sharing stories
•  A positive attitude, open and curious - asks thoughtful questions
•  Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills (English)
•  A valid, current OLCC License and Oregon Food Handler's Card
•  21 yrs. or older

Physical Requirements
•  Be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times throughout the day
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule
•  Requires the ability to sit, bend, stoop, reach, twist and walk over uneven surfaces for prolonged periods of time
