Brittan Vineyards and Winderlea Vineyard & Winery is seeking an outgoing, motivated team player with a strong customer service and wine sales background to work part time at our shared tasting room in the historic granary district in downtown McMinnville, OR.
The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and a meaningful wine tasting experience to all customers. The ideal candidate is a wine knowledgeable team player who is self-motivated with a positive personality, good attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Weekends and holidays required with special events and some evening work, as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
Ensure that visitors have an exceptional wine tasting experience
Effectively promote and sell wines and wine clubs
Consistently capture customer contact information
Conduct private tours and tastings
Participate and assist with special hospitality events
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Prior sales and customer service-related experience
General knowledge of fine wines
Experience in high-end wine sales highly desirable
Professional appearance and conduct
General understanding of winemaking and viticulture practices
Experience with POS systems
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Available to work weekends and have a flexible schedule
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Valid OLCC Server's Permit
Must be at least 21 years of age
COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus sales incentives
