Beaux Frères is one of the early established wineries in Oregon and is among the most iconic Willamette Valley
estates. The property located in the esteemed American Viticultural Area (AVA) of Ribbon Ridge, was purchased in
1986 by Mike Etzel and his brother-in-law, Robert Parker Jr. The estate is farmed according to organic and
biodynamic principles and over the years it has produced some of the best reviewed Pinot Noirs in the world.

We are currently looking for a Controller to join our small team. The Controller will be responsible for providing specialized and general analyses in various accounting functions, cost accounting, inventory management, and general accounting management. Additionally, will maintain and evolve internal accounting controls and build strong relationships within the team. This is a full time, salaried exempt position. The Controller will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•  Manage and support day-to-day accounting operations and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation 
•  Ensure accuracy and completeness of company sales in financial accounting software, reconciling monthly
•  Record intercompany accounting transactions as deemed necessary
•  Prepare and analyze journal entries and perform reconciliations in support of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including cash, inventory, etc.
•  Manage a financial soft close after month-end and provide detailed reports to parent company
•  Lead the financial close cycle and financial statement preparation of the quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules
•  Assist with the budgeting and cash forecasting processes; meet with department heads to review performance v. budget
•  Prepare detailed costing and inventory valuation report
•  Work on audit preparation for CPA, provide accounting info to auditors as needed
•  Evaluate, recommend and implement policies, procedures and systems related to company efficiency, productivity and internal controls
•  Solicit and act on feedback from manager, peers, and other business partners
•  Be responsible for accounting and operations departments employee relations (including hiring, firing, reviews, etc.)
•  Assist with related special projects as required; support CEO and managers with requests or projects as requested
•  Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications:
•  BS in Accounting preferred
•  Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance management, preferably in the wine industry
•  High attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills, and a knack for problem solving 
•  In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•  Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel 
•  Commitment to honesty, excellence and high standards
•  Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams 
•  Experience in a supervisory role; ability to supervise accounting and operations staff, offer solutions, suggestions, and coaching, as needed
•  Knowledge of labor laws preferred
