JOB SUMMARY

To manage and direct the day to day operations of the facility reporting to the plant manager including oversight for plant operations. This position will have progression potential to Senior Management.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plan and direct work for the day to day operations with the winemaking team
    • Production planning and execution
    • Tank and barrel operations
    • Includes all cellar functions
  • Lead and manage the workforce (salaried and hourly)
  • Oversee all maintenance functions and staff
  • Manage the execution and closure of all work orders – in electronic system
  • Responsible for administration of safety and regulatory compliance
  • Responsible for Government/TTB compliance
  • Responsible for the purchase and inventory control of winery raw materials including maintenance supplies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer background in Wine Industry
  • BS or higher in Science or appropriate field
  • Knowledge of Standard and advanced winery equipment
  • Business knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Communication (written, oral, ability to correspond with all levels of organization)
  • Proven history of HR skill sets
  • Entrepreneurial

  • High integrity
  • Ability to develop people
  • Past working knowledge of regulations
  • Ability to Upward mobile position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Primary work environment is on the production floor
  • Position will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks in a production environment
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
