BNP Distributing Company is the preeminent fine wine wholesaler in New York and New Jersey is immediately seeking a highly motivated individual to represent our portfolio in on and off premises in Central and Southern New Jersey.
BNP has been a leading local family owned wholesaler for over 30 years. Our dynamic portfolio is focused on terroir driven family estates, which have been successfully represented in the New York market for many years. Recent additions include a vast variety of bio-dynamic and organic properties. BNP also maintains a large inventory of Classified Bordeaux in the market with representations from all of the major Estates and multiple vintages of each. The portfolio also contains selections from some of the finest Burgundy, Loire and Rhone producers. We are also proud to represent producer families form Argentina, Australia, State of California, Israel, Italy, Spain, New York State and Washington State.
This position is particularly attractive for an experienced independent and self-motivated individual who is focused on selling and not administration. This position will inherit an established territory in Central and Southern New Jersey of at least 40 accounts currently buying from BNP. The candidate should have the following skills:
* Knowledge of New World and Old World wines with a specific knowledge of Classified Bordeaux and other French wines
* Ability to service existing account base, expand distribution in those accounts and to open new accounts
* Be self-motivated, work independently, attend monthly sales meetings and achieve sales objectives
The candidate must be able to obtain a New Jersey State Solicitor Permit.
An independent contractor is welcome.
