Tasting Room Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tasting Room Associate to join
our team at The Brander Vineyard as a Tasting Room Associate. The Brander Vineyard ,
founded in 1975, is the oldest family run winery in Santa Barbara County. We specialize
in Sauvignon Blanc & other Bourdeax varietals.

As a tasting room associate, you will be responsible for providing our guests and
members with an exceptional experience while tasting our wines, educating them about
our winemaking process, and promoting our brand. You will be an ambassador for our
winery, and your positive attitude and passion for wine will be key in ensuring our guests
have a memorable visit. Beginning schedule would be two - three days a week with the opportunity
for more.

Responsibilities:
-Greet guests and provide them with an exceptional experience in our tasting
room
-Educate guests about our wines, winemaking process, and the history of our
winery
-Pour and serve wine tastings and explain the tasting notes and characteristics of
each wine
-Promote our wines and merchandise to guests and assist with wine sales
-Maintain a clean and organized tasting room and restock inventory as needed
-Assist with wine club memberships and provide information to guests about our
wine club
-Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience
-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
-Must be at least 21 years of age
-1+ years of experience working in a tasting room or hospitality setting preferred
-Passion for wine and willingness to learn about our winery and wines
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
-Must be able to work weekends
-Proficient in Wine Direct POS a plus!

Compensation:
-Competitive hourly rate with wine club commissions & tips
