Nevada Fine Wine Portfolio Manager

 

Summary

The Nevada Fine Wine Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the overall success of our wine portfolio. This person will need to engage with the statewide sales team and managers in order achieve successes within the group.

· Provide necessary contact will all suppliers within your portfolio in order to communicate current market trends and sales growth.

· Motivate and provide support to all team members to grow business withing their portfolio.

· Work with executive management to continually mold the wine portfolio to maintain the most dynamic book in the state. This includes adding and subtracting suppliers as appropriate for coming business.  

· Work with Sales Representatives on a regular basis to examine account opportunities, growth roadblocks, and overall market needs.

· Visit market throughout the year to grow relationships with key accounts and cater to needs of incoming market visits.

· Review market sales data daily to discover trends and offer assistance with sales within your portfolio.

· Communicate all appropriate information to the team including sales incentives, allocations, and wine portfolio news in a timely manner.

· Make sure all supplier market work is executed professionally and successfully. Also provide recaps of progress after all market work. Work with suppliers prior to visits to set up pricing and ensure proper inventory and pricing needs are lined up to perform.

· Be present at major market events and meet with all key suppliers where possible to provide an additional layer of support to the sales team.

· Ensure execution on new brand depletions and new product launches.

· Responsible for all pre-sales of allocated and/or limited items as well as sending technical information on all items to the team.

· Work within our system to set up item pricing.  This would include data entry, price forecasting, as well as full item description.

· Monitor inventory levels and pricing within the wine portfolio—balancing the needs of the sales staff, while maintaining appropriate product availability and profitability. 

 

Required Position Skills

· Background or experience in distribution, wine sales experience is preferred.

· Strong persuasive presentations skills, including the ability to speak before large audiences both internally and externally.

· Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, including knowledge of wine and spirits terms, and their production process.

· Act in a professional manner always (ie. dress appropriately, speak professionally, and write professionally)

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft suite including Excel, Teams. Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

· The employee must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.

· Valid Driver's NV License and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver license. Also, maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.
