Paradocx Vineyard is located on a 100-acre family owned farm in Southern Chester County, PA. We have been producing award winning wine for 14 years from estate fruit and local growers. Paradocx Vineyard is actively looking for an energetic and highly motivated individual to fill the winemaker position with the possibility of select vineyard responsibilities. The job description for this full-time position offers a variety of responsibilities.
Winemaking Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Harvest Activities: Fruit Receipt, Crushing and Pressing, Juice Adjustment and Fermentation
• Enological Activities: Fermentation, Racking, Blending, Cold Stabilization and Filtration of all wines.
• Lab Analysis and Record Keeping.
• Budget management.
• Bottling & Packaging.
• Selection, training, and supervision of staff.
The potential Vineyard Responsibilities include but not limited to supervision of:
• Pruning • Spraying • Growing Activities: Shoot Positioning, Leaf Removal and Cluster Thinning
• Harvest.
An oenology degree and/or commensurate experience is preferred in an individual. Applicants should be mechanically inclined, have good communication and organizational skills, be proficient in accurate record keeping, and must speak and read English. Applicants mush be legally eligible for employment in the United States. The applicant must be self-motivated, a team player, and have the ability to appreciate the big picture. Compensation is based on the individual’s level of education and experience.
