We are small production facility located in Jefferson, GA. We create small-batch spirits with a focus on precision and craft. Our team is small, dynamic, and each person works hard in a positive work environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
The primary function of this position is to support all production work at the distillery. The Production Assistant will be trained to prepare batches for production (including proofing and blending), oversee bottling, maintain clean and sterile equipment and facility, handle shipping and receiving, track inventory, prepare shipments and more.
This position’s main responsibilities are:
- Proofing and blending
- Bottling
- Running sanitary cleaning of all equipment
- Ordering and Receiving of products and supplies
- Equipment maintenance
- Inventory tracking
- Cellar work, including barrel filling and loading
- Record keeping for internal records and legal compliance
- Maintaining and improving general organization
Minimum Qualifications:
- An interest in distilling or brewing
- Sense of humor
- Comfort in an environment where all team members must pitch in and work both as a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to cleanliness
- Lift 60+ pound bags repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- 21 years or older
- Ability to take direction yet work autonomously
Additionally desired qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience working in beverage production
- Intellectual curiosity to learn more about your position, the spirit making process, and how to improve each step
- Comfort operating a forklift
- A background in brewing, wine making or baking
- Interest or experience with mechanical maintenance and plumbing
- Highschool diploma
This person must be committed to showing up, working hard, learning and growing. This is a part-time position that will grow in a full-time.
