Position Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Assistant Controller to help build and manage our future-state finance and accounting infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in organizing systems for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger, while also supporting general office operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage scalable accounting and financial reporting systems and processes
• Evaluate and recommend software/tools suitable for growth
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Support the CFO with financial reporting and analysis
• Lead office management tasks (e.g., vendor coordination, supplies)
• Support routine local, city, state, and federal compliance work (e.g., sales & use tax, business registration)

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree a plus
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles (small business experience is helpful)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems
• Experience with accounting software used in small business (e.g., Zoho, Quickbooks)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment

Work Schedule

• In-person 2–3 days per week at our Dahlonega office (situated in the vineyard)
• Flexible hours, remote work
