Putnam & Vine is looking for a Sales Associate to join our team.
A desirable candidate will be someone with wine and spirits knowledge and the enthusiasm to convey that to our customers. This position provides an excellent opportunity to advance your exposure and knowledge within the wine world. This could be a part or full time position, depending on the candidate’s experience and needs.
Qualifications:
* Strong customer service skills.
* Ability and eagerness to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with customers by understanding their wine preferences and earning their trust through top rate recommendations and outstanding service.
* Have enough knowledge of the wine world to speak comfortably and confidently about all major wine producing regions.
* Willing to continue to taste, learn and participate in tastings both on site and off to further your wine knowledge.
* Well organized with good time management skills.
* Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
* Reliable transportation and occasional deliveries required.
* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
* WSET, CMS or similar certification a plus
* Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and closing shifts.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Receive, price and restock inventory as needed.
* Assist with special events.
* Trusted key holder, opening and closing the shop following store protocol.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
