Assistant Winemaker (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Del Rio Vineyards & Winery is expanding our winery team. We are seeking a full time, energetic, hands-on individual to provide key technical and logistical support to our Winemaker.

Del Rio Vineyards is a 470-acre estate located in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon; a region known for its diversity in growing a broad spectrum of varietals due to its unique climate. Owned and operated by a 4th generation farming family, we grow 13 different varietals. Our diversified business model sells fruit on contract, custom crush, bulk sales, private label, as well as crafting our own premium brands; specializing in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Rosé wines.

Our winemaking team works very closely together so the position requires versatility, flexibility, reliability and accountability – a self-motivated, energetic person capable of adapting to quickly changing priorities and workload, with an interest in continual growth and improvement. Cross-training is essential, as responsibilities will periodically include everything from tasting evaluations, lab work, sanitation and various cellar duties from crush to bottle.

A minimum of two years of winery experience, and a degree in enology is preferred.
