The Sales Coordinator position is a supporting role for Distribution and the Retail Sales departments at Elk Cove Vineyards. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and an interest in Marketing and Sales.
Support for Distribution Sales Department
• Process distribution orders
• Support logistics of International sales orders when needed
• VIP Trade visits and communications
• Logistics for Distribution Sales Department
• Wine shipping, coordinating deliveries
• Paperwork, email correspondence, communications and follow up
• Annual updates of trade list on Outlook contacts
• Creating and maintaining an active Account Buyers List
Marketing Support Responsibilities
• Website updates for both brands including events, trade pages, products, tasting notes, reviews
• Coordination and logistics for WVWA Barrel Auction, OPC, IPNC or other distributor/consumer events
• Wine Submissions for review by Press, Wine Writers as directed by owners and Vice President
• Updating, printing, laminating POS materials, keeping materials organized and inventoried
• Organize staff tastings and provide notes
• Support Creative Director as needed
Customer Service
• Answer phones and assist customers with order taking, updates to accounts or answering questions about our retail hours, offerings, etc.
• Process orders and ability to troubleshoot customer questions
• Tasting room availability as needed
Administration Responsibilities
• Detailed note taking at meetings as required.
• Ordering office supplies, establishing par levels and keeping the office space organized
• Filing of documents – electronic and paper
• Saving items to Shared Drive including wine stats, wine samples log, donation, allocation sheets, release schedules, event calendar, “work with” reports
• Mailing items and picking up mail daily
Donations
• Coordinate donations for the company. Receive incoming requests, confirm participation, track details and file supporting documentation
Requirements
• Schedule – Monday to Friday but some weekends are necessary throughout year
• Computer literacy including InDesign/Adobe, Microsoft Office, proprietary winery software including WineDirect, Mail Chimp, Square Space, Social Media
• Ability to prioritize tasks, with a high attention to detail, in an ever changing environment
• Problem solving skills
• Professional writing and speaking skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand on feet for periods of time
• Over 21 years old, valid OLCC license or ability to obtain a license
