POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the increase in retail sales of Messina Hof wines at the winery, the care of the physical center, and the hospitality of the guests. This person is the host for our guests. The purpose of the Messina Hof guest center is to welcome visitors of Messina Hof as family guests in to the Messina Hof “living room” and to embrace them as personal friends of our Messina Hof family.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Care of the Retail Area
o Making sure each guest is maximally comfortable
o Maintaining the merchandising of the Messina Hof products
o Making sure the guest center is clean and neat, displays polished, and merchandise dusted daily
o Making sure food preparation areas are sanitized and stocked each morning
o Maintain cleanliness of Guest Center restrooms
o Maintaining full stock of deli food items, gourmet food items, wines, and gift shop items
o Maintenance of food areas in accordance with health department codes
o Maintenance of deck area as a clean inviting environment
• Sales
o Leading tours of facility
o Retail sales and tastings
o Education of Messina Hof guests on wine, wine/food combinations and wine appreciation
o Promote tours, tastings, parties, and repeat sales at the winery
o Gift preparation
o Opening and closing procedures
o Increase market share of retail room
o Increase membership of the VIP Club and Wine Club
• Telemarketing Sales
o Sale of Messina Hof products for special events
o Targeting and soliciting groups for Messina Hof tours and tasting
o Forwarding leads
o Participate in initiatives to previous customers as well as to potential customers and groups
o Submit promotion and marketing suggestions
o Network with Designer Events to maximize wine sales to their events
• Outside Sales Responsibilities:
o Develop, foster, and maintain a close working relationship with retailers and wholesale customers for both direct sales and distributor sales.
o Ensure the continued sales growth of brands in the geographic area.
o Work with Republic National Distribution Company to increase case sales in local area, execute demonstrations at least two times per month or more if necessary, and festivals, as needed.
o Ensure that promotional materials and POS are created, distributed and used effectively.
o Responsible for managing activities in compliance with state and federal regulations.
o Responsible for providing accurate and timely filing of reports including sales reports, retail pricing surveys, meeting minutes, market management, expense reports, etc.
o Provide management with market intelligence including sales trends, product development and competitor activity.
o Collect Marketing and Sales data and incorporate it into statistical forecasting models to generate demand forecasts.
o Facilitation of direct from winery sales of new placements of Messina Hof products in new accounts and increased market share of products in existing accounts.
o Perform administrative tasks as necessary in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as required
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a retail closely related field
• Experience in customer service
• Ability to use a Personal Computer
