SALES MANAGER - US, CANADA, LATIN AMERICA

La Rioja Alta Group, S.A. is a high-end wine producer with international name, acclaimed and highly recognized in the wine industry with a high international presence.

The company was founded in 1890 and has remained in the hands of the same family since then, this being the 5th generation managing the business.

The wines of La Rioja Alta, S.A. are sold in specialized stores and top restaurants, being the wines of this prestigious winery present in the best and most famous restaurants in the world.


Job responsibilities

• Support local distribution to boost sales through continuous visits to markets and customers, alone or with the distributor’s sales force.

• Create and foster relationships with key actors: managers, portfolio managers, sales managers and sales reps.

• Develop the business in "Off and On premise" and chains.

• Increase the visibility of brands through the various channels.

• Maintain direct relationships with buyers in strategic accounts.

• Promote the product and develop marketing programs with the Marketing Director and the Sales Director.

• Create sales objectives along with management.

• Hire or change distributors

• Serve as an expert in the market, identifying opportunities and expanding the presence of a portfolio of high-end world-class wines, with a high degree of technical, commercial and cultural knowledge of the company.

• Make commercial reports on visits to markets and customers

• Make commercial plans and strategies

• Carry out analysis of sales and market trends and provide recommendations.

• Provide monthly sales reports generated by distributors


Requirements and skills

• Degree: Bachelor / BA

• Spanish spoken and written

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in the wine business

• Be willing to travel more than 50% of the time.

• Knowledge of high-end wines is required

• Capacity for organization, planning and coordination skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities - Know how to prioritize

• Communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong orientation towards results.

• Initiative and self-motivation.

• Good manners: keep commitments made. High quality in the relationships.

• Should be comfortable with new technologies, media, online file sharing and other computer and internet functions.

• Microsoft Office medium / high level: Excel, Word and Power Point

• Willingness to work after hours and holidays.

Home Base

The candidates must be willing to live and set base in any of the following cities: Miami, FL; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC.

 

 

The salary and benefits will be proportional to knowledge and experience.
