Assistant Tasting Room Manager Position Available
Starting Late August 2013

We plan to open our doors for business end of August, early September of this year. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and hard working Assistant Tasting Room Manager to oversee the front of the house operations at the winery. Candidates must have at least one years in the wine industry, preferably in the Finger Lakes region, along with experience handling and managing a staff. Communication and a proactive personality are key functions for the job. Hospitality backgrounds will be strongly considered. 


• Interacting with customers and managing traffic flow in the winery
• Exploring new ways to drive sales
• Creating programs to increase customer satisfaction and dollars spent per visit
• Working with the Tasting Room Manager to operate the POS system to track sales and inventory
• Working closely with the Tasting Room Manager to drive revenue and sales
• Working occasional trade shows and off site events to promote and sell product
• Coordinating private events at the winery with the assistance of the owner
• Creatively handling large groups as needed 
• Tasting room organization, signage and displays
• Responsible for closing duties when working
• Must be responsible, flexible, energetic, able to delegate properly, ambitious, willing to jump into any project or task, and above all, capable of helping a young winery grow to its potential.
• Must be able to lift 40+ pounds and have reliable transportation. 
• 32-35 hours a week, based on how busy the winery is throughout the seasons
