Key Account Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Hartley & Parker Ltd., Inc. is among Connecticut’s most respected distributors of wines and spirits. We are looking for Key Account Managers to cover the Fairfield, and Waterbury/Litchfield CT Areas. The Key Account manager has responsibilities in both Sales and Sales Management.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include

• Developing relationships with new customers in conjunction with sales reps, division managers, and spirit/wine directors
• Expanding relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their needs and thus generating incremental revenue growth
• Developing the skills and knowledge of team members in your respective division
• Ensuring that individual and division goals are clearly communicated
• Working in conjunction with division manager to ensure that each salesperson meets or exceeds all distribution and sales goals
• Assisting with conducting of individual team meetings and one on ones
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Creating a successful culture while building a strong team

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and self-motivation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proven experience as a sales representative and/or manager is highly desired
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the wine & spirits industry and/or on-premise/restaurant management. Commitment to further development is mandatory.
• Highly competitive nature, a strong will, and sound business judgement
• Must have strong ethics and work as an effective, collaborative team member
