Job Summary:

     Successful candidates will be responsible for establishing and maintaining customer service and assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store. This is a full-time salaried position.  The job requires solid product knowledge, particularly of wine, but also of liquor and beer. Along with product knowledge, exceptional customer service skills are essential.

       The candidate should have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills and be able to multitask effectively. They must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude is a must. The ability to work nights and weekends is required. Retail wine & spirits management experience is highly preferred.

 

General Accountabilities 

• Sells to the general public which involves:  maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all wine, beer and liquor products, responding to customer inquiries and concerns, stocking and rotation of store shelves and ensuring all products are properly displayed as well as processing of special orders
• Suggests selections that meet customer's needs, and emphasizes selling points.
• Provides friendly customer service in a fast paced, physically demanding, multifaceted role; efficiently processes high volume transactions on a computerized POS system.
• Receiving and handling stock and assisting in other duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Must be able to work well with other employees

·       Assists the General Manager plans and assigns daily goals, tasks and other assignments

·       Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of customer service.

·       Maintain the overall appearance of the store; ensure products are well-merchandised in innovative and eye-appealing displays that reflect featured items and highlight seasonal items, sale items, with the aim of promoting products and driving sales

 

Qualifications:

• Must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills

·       Must be customer focused

·       At least 2 years of experience in retail environment in a similar role

·       Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

·       Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of retail experience

·       Ability to understand, communicate and follows instructions.

·       Helps the General Manager in maintaining a safe working and shopping environment.

Requirements:

             • Must be 21 years or older

            • Ability to walk and be on feet for up to 10 hours a day

            • Ability to bend, climb ladders & lift 50 lbs overhead repeatedly

            • Nights and weekends

$50,000-$75,000 depending on experience
