We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and qualified hospitality professional to join our team at Domaine Roy & fils winery. 

Background
Domaine Roy & fils is located in Dundee, Oregon. The project started in 2012 with Marc Roy and Jared Etzel (the second generation of the Beaux Frères families) and has grown to include a passionate team of wine professionals. Our mission is to produce wines of purity and transparency at the highest level from our estate properties in Dundee and Carlton.

With a focus on hosted tastings, we strive to offer a unique and engaging sit-down guest experience that reflects our identity. We are excited to bring on a team member with impeccable customer service and experience in fine dining, wine and/or luxury retail. 

HOST/HOSTESS

As the first and last point of contact you will have a direct influence on the guests’ impression. We are currently seeking a seasonal part-time Host/Hostess for Saturdays and Sundays. Roughly 15 hours per week, with potential for more.

Responsibilities

•  Oversee appointments schedule 
•  Handle guest services such as answering phone and email inquiries
•  Offer a ‘concierge’ like service for restaurant reservations or other specific needs
•  Prompt, efficient and courteous greeting of guests, including pouring Champagne
•  Control traffic flow and direct guests to appropriate seating
•  Enforce Tasting Room policies in a graceful manner
•  Tasting Room service support which includes busing tables, cleaning/ polishing glasses, stocking and more
•  Thoroughly perform all tasting room opening and closing tasks

Qualifications
•  Prior host or front desk experience
•  Genuine desire to provide hospitality and guest services
•  Interest in wine and fine dining, knowledge of local wineries and restaurants
•  Warm personality that demonstrates sincere engagement
•  Well-spoken and organized
•  Ability to remain calm and detail-focused during periods of high volume

General Requirements for all hospitality positions

•  Modern POS proficiency (on iPads)
•  Must be 18 or over with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
•  Open and pour wine in accordance with OLCC rules and regulations
•  OLCC permit required prior to employment
•  Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry 50 lbs
•  Willing to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule
•  Able to work in a collaborative team environment 
•  Currently legal to work in the US (must be a US citizen, legal US resident, or have a valid worker visa)
