We are currently looking for an experienced cellar technician to join and grow with our production team. This is a full time, hourly position. The schedule varies depending on the time of year.

General Job Description
The Cellar Technician II will skillfully perform and participate in all aspects of cellar work. The Cellar Technician II will be expected to work efficiently within a team as well as independently. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to complete complex tasks. Harvest responsibilities will include leading and training seasonal staff through all cellar operations. This individual must be comfortable on a forklift.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
•  Cleaning and sanitation
•  Wine movements, racking, blending, additions
•  Topping and barrel work
•  Operate press and harvest equipment
•  Assist with bottling/packaging
•  Operate forklift
•  Assist in oversight and training of temporary harvest staff duties
•  Follow all safety initiatives and promote a safe work environment

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•  Understanding of winemaking processes
•  General knowledge of mechanical equipment (electrical motors, valves, and piping systems) with a comprehensive operational knowledge of various winery equipment.
•  Forklift operation and safety (including barrel movement, layout, and stacking)
•  Ability to follow and execute verbal and written instructions
•  Ability to complete given work orders without error in a timely fashion
•  Basic math skills (arithmetic operations)
•  Some leadership skills preferred

Required Education, Experience, and Licenses
•  3+ years of full time cellar experience
•  High School Diploma or GED
•  Current driver’s license

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to operate in a physically demanding and dynamic cellar work environment
•  Ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy items over 50 lbs.
•  Ability to work at heights
•  Ability to access and work in confined spaces
•  Extended periods of time standing

We have two open positions, one position is in our large production facility and the other in our boutique production facility.
