Domaine Roy & fils is seeking a driven and passionate Cellar Master to join our small winemaking team.

Marc-André Roy and winemaker Jared Etzel established Domaine Roy & fils in 2012 to celebrate their heritage and continue the winemaking history of their fathers, who founded Beaux Frères Winery in 1991. Over 20 years later, we have kept the same focus of producing timeless wine through meticulous and almost obsessive work in our estate vineyards. With a minimalist winemaking approach and a commitment to organic farming, our wines exhibit a full expression of vintage and terroir.

Our foundational principles include native yeast fermentations, minimal intervention craftsmanship, and unfined & unfiltered wines. We produce roughly 5000 cases from our two estate vineyards in Dundee and Yamhill-Carlton. Stewardship of the land is at the heart of everything we do. With only 40 acres under vine, we pride ourselves on farming our sites with care and intention of making the wine in the vineyard.

As a Cellar Master, you are expected to move comfortably around the cellar and have ability to execute the following:

•  Daily Wine Quality Management
•  Cellar Organization
•  Cellar Deep Cleaning
•  Barrel Maintenance, Cleaning
•  Winery Maintenance
•  Equipment Maintenance
•  Topping
•  Racking
•  Sanitation
•  Bottling Logistics and Execution
•  Harvest Management
•  Work directly with Jared and Brandon on vintage specific goals
•  Fruit sampling, ferment management, fruit management, floor plan organization, fruit receival logistics, press management, barrel down logistics
•  Run samples and track/execute any necessary adjustments
•  Complete and log all sulfurs and wine additions
•  Sorting line flow, daily extractions, ferment sampling, ferment tasting, barrel down, etc

We are a small team and know that making wine requires wearing many hats, from blending trials to drain cleaning. We are looking for a person that is eager to be involved in all steps along the way.

Job Qualifications
This position typically a minimum of 1 harvest
Some full-time, year round experience is preferred
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to perform repetitive labor
Extreme accuracy and attention to detail
Basic math skills
Ability to prioritize
Comfort with multitasking and problem solving
Comfort to work independently with little direction.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) to a variety of audiences

This is a full-time position spanning M-F 9-5 with expectations of long hours and weekends from August-November (harvest). You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, work standing up and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time. The position requires repetitive squatting and strenuous pulling, pushing, and lifting.
