Winter’s Hill is an Estate winery located in the Dundee Hills of Oregon. Owned and managed by the Gladhart family, our 23 acres of vines are planted on a gentle Southern slope ranging from 525-750 feet elevation. Our soil is Jory, the most sought after soil type for producing premium wines in Oregon.We are renowned for outstanding single vineyard estate wines from Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.
Our onsite winery, completed in 2009 is also home to 4 custom crush clients, producing a wide range of high quality still and sparkling wines. The fruit for these wines is sourced from highly regarded vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley.
We are seeking one energetic and dependable individual for the 2018 harvest. The primary responsibilities of the cellar interns include vineyard maturity sampling, processing and sorting grapes, fermentation cap management, tank emptying/filling, barrel work and a lot of cleaning.
Requirements:
- Previous winery experience preferred, although not required.
- Forklift experience a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 55 pounds.
- Able to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Posses a strong work ethic, be detail oriented and trustworthy.
- Be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- A good, can-do attitude and a sense of humor are a major plus.
- Willing to help as needed in other vineyard, winery or tasting-room operations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Start-End Date: Late August through the beginning of November.
