Our team-driven service style ensures that each employee shares equally in hosting private tasting appointments and handling behind-the-scenes needs. We proudly offer the full range of Drouhin wines from Burgundy to the Dundee and Eola-Amity Hills for sampling and sale in our Tasting Room.

We are currently looking for a talented leader to grow with us. The Tasting Room Manager sets the overall tone of the Tasting Room. This role must lead by example, with a keen eye for detail, working to maintain and cultivate a highly motivated team that creates memorable experiences for every visitor while meeting and exceeding goals. They must be a highly motivated individual who is passionate about wine and can nurture an atmosphere of teamwork and enthusiasm, helping drive our Tasting Room sales and customer service experience to an even higher level. This role requires strong collaborative, organizational, and managerial skills and a positive leader who will bring energy and commitment to all facets of the job. Our ideal person must be incredible with people, passionate about wine, effortlessly able to multitask and continue to demonstrate sales growth and increased brand loyalty.

Here is an overview of what the job entails:

Leadership and Team Management

-Exhibit exemplary leadership qualities by setting a positive example for the team.

-Oversee, manage, and mentor the full and part-time Tasting Room team.

-Ensure complete and comprehensive onboarding and training of all new Tasting Room hires and maintain proper documentation of training completion.

-Provide feedback and recognition of strengths, conduct performance reviews, and suggest improvements.

-Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

-Meet and exceed sales and club goals, increasing brand loyalty.

Operations and Hospitality

-Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and adequate stocking of hospitality areas with wine and supplies.

-Monitor and maintain hospitality appliances to ensure they are current on maintenance.

-Implement operational changes as necessary and instructed by the Hospitality & Events Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing to achieve objectives and improve efficiency.

-Develop daily/weekly discussion topics for pre-shift meetings and assign reservations and breaks.

-Manage and delegate daily tasting room inventory counts, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

-Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure tasting room wines are kept in stock.

Guest Experience

-Provide exceptional guest experiences in person, over the phone, and in written communication.

-Handle daily emails and voicemails promptly and professionally.

-Confirm large group reservations and fulfill special requests.

-Continuously strive to exceed guest expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Administrative Tasks

-Send weekly update emails to relevant stakeholders.

-Create and distribute the monthly tasting room schedule.

-Approve staff time punches and submit monthly payroll accurately and timely.

-Respond to all Tock feedback in a timely and positive manner.

-Post job openings and conduct interviews for part-time positions.

-Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing and Hospitality & Events Manager.

Systems Management

Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to manage and optimize various software systems such as C7 and Tock, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
