Together, we have built a dedicated team of passionate wine professionals that are a true extension of the Drouhin family. Our service style is team-driven, ensuring that each employee shares equally in hosting private tasting appointments and handling behind-the-scenes needs. We are proud to offer the full range of Drouhin wines from Burgundy to the Dundee and Eola-Amity Hills, for sampling and sale in our Tasting Room.

Here is an overview of what the job entails:

Leadership, Coaching and Management

  • Demonstrate strong leadership while always setting a positive example.
  • Manage and inspire staff to ensure that all visitors are warmly welcomed and genuinely engaged while increasing sales and improving upon our culture of passionate customer service
  • Effectively solve problems and create solutions with customers and within our team
  • Organize regular team educational experiences
  • Manage daily operation, organization & inventory of Tasting Room(s), hospitality areas, wine, and all supplies.
  • Establish monthly schedule for 15+ part-time employees

Sales Execution and Analysis

  • Meet and exceed sales goals in person, via email and over the phone
  • Analyze traffic patterns and trends to create more successful tasting flights, offers, experiences and improved flow
  • Evaluate effectiveness of programs by performing periodic reviews and auditing customer feedback on a regular basis. Implement changes as needed to reach objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to forecast and plan

Guest Experience

  • Set a gracious, engaging tone, while hosting unique and educational tastings for all guests, including key trade and media, anticipating needs, and finding ways to over-deliver. Groups range in size from 1-30 people.
  • Events: Participate and assist with events. Offsite as needed.
  • DDO Direct: Create and maintain positive relationships, while continuing to grow our wine club
  • Ensure all hospitality areas, front and back of house, are clean, stocked, and organized

Data Tracking, Inventory, Administration

  • Manage TOCK reservation platform and Commerce7 POS
  • Manage daily inventory count, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Maintain adequate supply of hospitality items: glassware, food items, office supplies, flight sheets, etc.
  • Submit monthly payroll

Employment Requirements:

  • Must love working with people and have a natural skill set for developing lasting relationships
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to speak in public with a polished, professional presentation
  • Excel at promoting sales, representing a luxury brand, and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and deliver exceptional, one-of-a-kind experiences
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Suite plus able to learn new software and programs with ease
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage, prioritize and juggle multiple tasks calmly, despite interruptions
  • Professional demeanor and charismatic presence with a passion for wine, food and the wine country lifestyle
  • Must have a desire to expand upon your current level of wine knowledge
  • Requires the ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and lift/carry up to 45 lbs.
  • Willing to work weekdays, weekends, occasional evenings, and travel as needed.
  • All employees are required to maintain a positive, enthusiastic and thoughtful attitude.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the VP Sales + Marketing and Direct Sales Manager, and manages the Assistant Tasting Room Manager, Hospitality Specialists, Full and Part-time tasting room personnel.
