Description
Manage the Regional Directors of Chains calling on assigned Regional Accounts. Responsible for delivering against assigned goals, tracking progress of assigned distribution initiatives and communicating market/account updates to executive management. Become the point person with top 4 distributors National Accounts teams to align goals and execution.
Essential Functions:
• Directly responsible for managing all aspects of the Regional Account teams including people management, account management, and financial management,
• Work with Regional Vice Presidents on account updates to ensure proper forecasting.
• Strong link to Managing Directors of National Account to insure initiatives are aligned and executed
• Communicate/update SMWE executive management team on all aspects of Regional Account business
• Work in conjunction with marketing to create and implement programs in order to drive retail programing in National Accounts
• Communicate regional account plans to operations, finance and marketing to ensure all parties are aligned.
• Develop vertical relationships with accounts to position SMWE as the #1 premier fine wines company.
• Manage the Regional Director of chains providing leadership and developmental feedback to build a high functioning team.
• Execute/drive company plans with National Account teams to achieve desired results.
• Fiscal responsibility for team budgets and account budgets including departmental and direct spending.
• Ensure proper tracking for programing, planning, distribution
• Oversee pricing to ensure brans standards are within guidelines.
• Become the point person with distributor VP’s/Sr VP’s of Account teams to align goals and expectations for sales numbers and distribution. Coordinate semiannual planning meetings with distributor account reps and monthly calls with the team leads.
Requirements
Working Conditions:
Home based with heavy travel managing a team and calling on Regional Accounts and managing RDOC Team. Position will require nights and weekends for special events and customer outings.
Physical Requirements:
Operate a vehicle (maintain a valid driver’s license) and the ability for air travel.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years calling on top retail chain accounts.
• Minimum 3 years calling on distributor national retail chain executives and teams.
• Minimum of 2 year’s managing people.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, reconciliation and prioritization abilities/skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint Skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks and frequent deadlines.
• History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
