Ashton Creek Vineyard is a family owned and operated farm winery in Chester, VA. We work with a mixture of French/American hybrids and vitis vinifera to create award winning wines in various styles. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of harvest from picking grapes to barreling and everything in between in a small winery processing 60T annually.

Job Description:
- Work directly with the winemaker using traditional wine making skills.
- Assist winemaker in day to day harvest activities
- Harvest fruit
- Monitoring fermentations
- Perform punch downs
- Clean and sanitize all equipment
- Pressing, crushing, and de-stemming fruit
- Filling tanks and barrels
- Basic lab work
- Sampling fruit
- Racking wine
- Various vineyard tasks

Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work out doors in various conditions
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Must have transportation
- Must be a team Player
- Eagerness to learn and a love for wine is preferred
- Prior experience is not required but is a plus

Compensation:
- hourly with opportunity for overtime

Our harvest usually runs mid August to mid Novemeber. Must be a US Citizen or already able to work legally in the US.
