Sales Representative Charlotte South Metro 

We are Grapevine Distributors, family-owned and one of the oldest wine importers and distributors in NC. We represent some of the most renowned and respected names in the wine world (Joseph Drouhin, Bollinger, Haut-Brion, Vega Sicilia, La Spinetta, Mount Eden, Merry Edwards, Patricia Green, Ken Wright)

 

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:  

The purpose of the Sales Representative is to provide our customers with exemplary service, create relationships, be dependable and dedicated and take initiative of your sales territory, while maintaining the integrity of the Grapevine values with a positive attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop a sales and marketing plan to sell the wines represented by Grapevine within the assigned territory
  • Meet established weekly, monthly, and yearly goals
  • Cold call existing and new restaurants and wine shops within the territory to develop new business
  • Monitor growth and opportunities within the territory with the use of weekly and monthly reporting tools
  • Communicate in an extremely timely manner with customers, the office, and management
  • Coordinate and conduct supplier ride-withs, in-store tastings, wine dinners, charity events, and staff trainings
  • Work with the accounting department to resolve payment issues within the territory
  • Work with the warehouse to coordinate product delivery, including assisting with deliveries during holidays, short weeks, and staffing shortages
  • Attend team and company meeting when required

 

 

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

  • Prefer at least two years of experience in the fine wine market
  • Knowledge of the wine growing regions and grapes of France, Spain, and Italy
  • Resident of Charlotte, South Metro Area
  • Be at least 21 years old with a valid NC driver’s license and insurance
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Goal oriented
  • Able to work with little supervision

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

·         Physical demands to include driving, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, standing, and squatting

  • May require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying or pulling up to 45lbs

 

 

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

  • Reliable transportation, laptop computer, cell phone

·         Base plus monthly bonus package
