The Carlton Winemakers Studio is looking for an experienced intern to round out our harvest team.
We are a small AP facility that is home to roughly 15 different wine labels and their winemakers (Andrew Rich, Lavinea, 00 Wines, Ratio and many more) - giving you the opportunity to be exposed to everything from hand clipping berries into amphora (you don't have to do the clipping, don't worry) to well honed, new world techniques.
You will be involved in all the stock standard harvest activities:
• Fruit sorting - or helping to drive the line
• Punch downs, pump overs, B&Ts, maybe a little bit of lab work
• Cleaning. So much Cleaning.
• Pressing schenanigans.
• Barrelling down, barreling up and barreling sideways.
Ideally, you will also be confident on the forklift (in tight spaces), fluent in dad jokes and adept at noticing when the coffee pot is MT. We will have bottling work available prior to harvest if you are interested.
