Vintage Wine Warehouse is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented wine professional to join our team. The ideal candidate brings wine expertise, technical aptitude, and outstanding communication skills to help us deliver exceptional service to our clients and their collections.
Position Overview
This role is central to the accurate intake, cataloguing, and management of wine collections stored in our facility. You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and wine data systems to ensure every bottle is identified, recorded, and cared for with precision.
Hours & Location
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week; additional hours may be required during peak periods
- This position is based at our facilities in Briarcliff Manor, NY and New Castle, DE
Key Qualifications
Wine Knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret wine labels across all major styles and formats
- Familiarity with the major wine-producing regions of the world, including appellations and sub-regions
- Knowledge of prominent producers, including the ability to distinguish between single-vineyard designations from the same estate
Attention to Detail
- Ability to differentiate between individual wines from the same producer, including single-vineyard and cuvée distinctions
- Proficiency in identifying and recording vintages accurately across a broad range of producers
- Experience assessing and documenting bottle fill levels (ullage) for condition reporting and inventory purposes
Computer Literacy
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)
- Comfortable with data entry and maintaining accurate digital inventory records
Communication Skills
- Strong written communication skills for client correspondence, condition reports, and internal documentation
- Professional verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, couriers, and team members
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds (cases of wine and storage materials)
Customer Service Responsibilities
- Assist customers with placing orders for wine storage and related services
- Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely communication with clients and carriers
- Arrange and manage customer pick-ups, verifying orders and maintaining proper chain of custody for all collections

This is an hourly position. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
