Small store with a national reputation is looking for a full time employee who wishes to learn the retail fine wine business. We are located in Boston’s Financial District with an international clientele. The applicant must have basic wine knowledge (we will train on the job), some computer familiarity and great interpersonal skills. Familiarity with social media and writing skills are a plus. The applicant will be exposed to all aspects of fine wines (tasting, education, purchasing, and marketing and the ability). You would get to participate in store tastings and meet winemakers from around the world.
General responsibilities will include receiving orders, storage, and stocking. Must have the ability to handle 40 lb cases of wine.
Future possibilities could include area responsibility for purchasing and marketing
This position does not come up very often as our employees tend to stay. Pay is hourly. Schedule daytime only Tuesday through Saturday.
