Tasting Room Manager & Sales Associates (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Job Description:

Pennyroyal Farm is seeking a friendly and outgoing, experienced customer service leaders to join our team. We are hiring for multiple openings including Tasting Room Manager & Tasting Room Associates. We are a family-owned sustainable farm, dairy, and vineyard located in the beautiful Anderson Valley. All Pennyroyal Farm wines and cheeses are produced entirely from what we grow and tend.

Tasting Room Manager

The Tasting Room Manager would be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the tasting room, our ever growing Vine to Table (wine club) and Farm to Table (cheese club) memberships, phone/web/email orders and communications, and DTC shipping. Under the direction of and in collaboration with the General Manager and Marketing Manager, this individual will ensure all policies and procedures are maintained, train, support, and coach the tasting room team, and assist with wine and cheese club membership management.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Two or more years of tasting room/customer service management experience
- Good understanding of and appreciation for wine
- must be a self starter and possess the ability to multitask effectively
- the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing
- Works well on a team and has the ability to be an effective leader
- proficient with computers (PC, Microsoft Office Suite, POS applications) is a must
- must be age 21+
- must be able to work weekends, holidays and occasional evenings for membership events
- ability to carry up to 45 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time

Hourly rate for our Tasting Room Manager including sales bonuses and commissions ranges from $28-$35/hr.


Tasting Room Associate

Sales Associates are responsible for providing a variety of guest experiences (wine and cheese tastings, farm tours, retail shopping, tableside food and beverage service, food and wine pairing events, etc), educating customers about our estate wines and farmstead cheeses, and building lasting relationships with our Vine to Table and Farm to Table members.

Ideal candidates for the Sales Associate position will have the following qualifications:
- Two or more years sales or hospitality background - food and beverage service or tasting room experience preferred
- have an understanding of and appreciation for wine and cheese
- the ability to multitask successfully in a fast-paced environment
- the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing
- proficient with computers
- must be age 21+
- able to work weekends, holidays and occasional evenings
- ability to carry up to 45 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time

Hourly rate for Tasting Room Associates with tips, commission and sales bonuses added ranges from $18-27/hr
