Facility Assistant (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility Assistant is a member of the Oliver Winery Facility department. The Facility department is responsible for the overall maintenance and appearance of Oliver Winery. Primary responsibilities of the Facility Assistant are mowing and mower maintenance, assisting with preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and special projects. The Facility Assistant reports to the Facility Manager and takes direction from the Landscape Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complete all mowing on winery property and maintenance of mowing/lawn equipment.
• Assist in making repairs, performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and with improvement projects.
• Complete maintenance tasks including inspections, changing filters, belts, checking fluid levels, cleaning, painting facilities and making minor repairs and adjustments. 
• Assist more experienced team members on projects, troubleshooting and making more in-depth repairs, as needed. 
• Assist with snow removal, emergency maintenance and grounds upkeep.
• Follow company policies, safety rules and regulations. 
• Maintain the high standards of the Oliver Winery Customer Experience as it relates to building cleanliness, maintenance, functionality, and safety. 
• Additional duties, as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good communications skills with an excellent attitude. 
• Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude and skills. 
• Possess a valid driver's license and be able to be insured on company vehicles. 
• Basic computer skills for records/data entry.
• Some experience using outdoor power equipment.
• Enjoy working outdoors. 
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. 
• Due to the nature of our business, must be at least 21 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a physical job in a winery/production setting that will require long periods of standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders and the ability to observe others and the work environment. This position may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor power equipment, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.

Typical Schedule: Position is full-time, hourly. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional night/weekend work and occasional on-call weekend coverage. 
FLSA Classification: Full-Time Non-Exempt.
