We are currently seeking a highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented and deadline driven person to join our Supply Chain department as a Sr. Logistics Specialist. This person will impact multiple areas within the logistics group and have daily interaction with buyers, suppliers, 3PL warehouses, stores and carriers. The individual will combine information from multiple sources to provide insights and trends in critical areas to manage the business and drive the best service at the best cost. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to make a real impact on the business through special projects and logistics analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for order management from warehouse to stores
• Manage carriers and other 3PL logistic providers to ensure that daily shipments are covered at best cost and tracking them for on-time pickups
• Daily tracking of outbound shipments across multiple transportation modes
• Provide excellent customer service and notify key business partners and internal customers of shipment status
• Gathering, reviewing and maintaining shipment data and analysis in order to determine root cause of service issues and drive continuous improvement
• Publishing logistics KPIs such as transportation cost and on-time performance
• Collaborate with 3PL on process improvement initiatives to provide best in class performance.
• Assist in reconciling invoice discrepancies and OS&D transactions
• Lane analysis and special projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education: 

• Undergraduate degree in business, supply chain, or related field and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong level of customer service to our internal customers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
• Ability to deal successfully with complexities of a rapidly expanding organization
• Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills
• Highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively

Preferred Experience, Skills and Education:

• Experience with truckload/rail transportation with carriers or brokers desirable
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to plan and manage projects within time constraint
• Detail oriented and good follow-up
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications with particular strength in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Able to work independently as well in a team environment
