Guest Services Representative - Level 1 (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Col Solare Winery, located in Benton City WA, has a part time seasonal Guest Services Representative who will deliver exceptional guest experiences and create brand ambassadors by facilitating educational consumer and VIP tours and wine tastings to maximize wine sales. 
•Greets all visitors in a warm and professional manner.
•Conduct a comprehensive educational guided tour.
•Conduct an informative tasting, describing the qualities of the wine 
•Employ sales techniques to encourage wine purchases and close the sale.
•Perform sales transactions using the computerized cash registers.
•Stock retail area by moving and distributing cases of wine and other miscellaneous merchandise.
•Coordinate set up and clean up for tour and tasting appointments.
•Facilitate retail sales transactions.
•Coordinate retail wine shipments
•Assist with the set-up of tables, chairs, glassware, and table setting, cooking and serving at special events/tastings.
•Participate in physical inventory as requested.
•Perform light housekeeping tasks including regular washing of glassware and supply replenishment
•Perform other duties as assigned
•Continued general wine education with an emphasis on Col Solare wines
•May be required to captain events ranging from small dining functions to large open house events.
•Operate standard office equipment
•Utilize standard and specialized software programs, retail and POS systems. 
•Guide walking tours on indoor and outdoor routes, navigating stairs and catwalks
•Operate dishwasher, glass and dishwasher and racks.
•All other aspects of position require work in tasting bar as well as at culinary events.
•Effectively represent the Col Solare brand
•Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
•Ability to move tables and chairs, glass racks, carts, etc.
•Ability to speak confidently in front of large groups.(describe food/wine)

Requirements

•Must be 21 years of age.
•HS Diploma or equivalent required. 
•Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
•Experienced in a retail sales transactions, computerized registers and cash handling procedures.
•This position will require at least one day of the weekend to be worked.
•Food and beverage service workers permit for Benton County required within 30 days of employment. 
•Excellent math skills required.
•Professional appearance, excellent customer service technique to include public speaking ability.
•Must have sincere interest in wine and participate in ongoing training and departmental tastings.
•History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
