Field Service Representative - CA and WA Territories (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Suterra is seeking a Field Service Representative to support the US sales team by providing hands-on technical support to Suterra customers and internal stakeholders.

This person will work collaboratively with the territory sales manager to execute defined customer journey map focusing on technical assistance, product deployment training and in-field logistics support to ensure Suterra customers receive an exceptional user experience with our products. The role will also include execution of in-field product development activities.

We are hiring multiple positions to support three different territories. Please specify your area of interest when applying:

  • The San Joaquin Valley to include San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced counties. 
  • The Central Coast area to include San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
  • Tri-Cities area of Washington state to include Yakima, Pasco, Kennewick and the surrounding area.


  • Develop technical expertise in all aspects of Suterra's product portfolio and use this expertise to support the training of key Wholesale Dealers, Partners, Growers and others, as required
  • Create and manage mapping of grower acreage to plot placement of Suterra products
  • Provide hands-on deployment training to Suterra customers
  • Provide support as needed with trial activities, including overseeing a trapping program
  • Drive understanding of the product usage, efficacy and performance
  • Develop materials based on trial and customer data to support the brand experience
  • Respond to customer concerns and partner with the Sales team to investigate, capture and document market feedback
  • Address customer inquiries and appropriately escalate more serious issues when needed
  • Quickly resolve customer needs and urgent requests for equipment or logistics support
  • Build customer relationships for the development and maintenance of sales activities


  • Act as a liaison to communicate customer market or technical needs both within the US commercial team and within the larger cross functional team to facilitate Suterra success
  • Record and summarize data associated with trials and prepare the results for internal and external customers
  • Create summary reports of technical and market data from grower/influencer and facilitate the reporting of this information
  • Attend industry events, including tradeshows as required by US Commercial Team management.
  • Develop technical training tools and material to support and facilitate the proper use of Suterra products


  • 2+ years' work experience in an agricultural position
  • Familiar with the use of agricultural equipment and field based work environments
  • Comfortable providing training to others
  • Comfortable dealing with technical issues in a solutions-based selling environment.
  • Experience using technology tools: Powerpoint, Word, Excel
  • PCA license preferred
  • Pest management experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 40-50% of the time, with some overnight travel
