JOB DESCRIPTION
Baystate Wine & Spirits has a very exciting opportunity to hire a General Manager/Director of Sales for MA, NH & RI. The GM/Director of Sales is directly responsible for managing the Baystate Wine & Spirits Distributorships In Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. This includes creating and implementing strategies, programming, marketing and business development to grow revenue throughout respective territories. This position will be based out of our Avon, MA office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct, develop and manage Baystate Wine & Spirits Sales Teams to build distribution.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing successful sales and marketing programs, to include establishing territory action plans and strategic initiatives to capture market share.
  • Design and provide systems to support the sales team and assist them in achieving goals and measuring results.
  • Responsible for budgets as well as weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Work to develop new sales channels on and off premise.
  • Collect and analyze sales trends in each market.
  • Work closely with Management to ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
  • In charge of supplier management.
  • Launch new brands.
  • Recruit, hire, train and develop exceptional sales and administrative teams.\
  • Provide leadership, management and mentoring for all staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales Management experience for a Wine & Spirits wholesaler.
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Exceptional knowledge of fine wine & craft spirits.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate across multiple team member and departments.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Highly professional and charismatic.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to successfully deal with continuous change.
