About Us
We are a busy, entrepreneurial family based in a full-time residence that also serves as a private event and pool hosting space (in the Atlanta/Grant Park area) during the summer months. In addition to our home in Atlanta, we operate two active businesses: a family Vineyard & Wedding Venue in Jonesboro, GA and a decor services company that serves clients in the metro-Atlanta area. Life moves fast in our household and we need someone who can move with it.

A portion of our home is listed on Swimply, a platform that allows guests to book private pool access for swimming, relaxation, and small gatherings. During the summer season, we regularly host events of up to 20-25 guests at our heated saltwater pool. This role sits at the intersection of hospitality, household operations, and creative problem-solving.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, polished, and professional Summer House Manager & Guest Host to help our home run beautifully during our busiest season. You will be the face of the experience for our pool rental guests, the hands behind the scenes keeping the property in top shape, and a trusted partner in managing day-to-day household operations when we are focused on running our businesses.

This is not a traditional house manager role - it is a dynamic position that blends hospitality, light property management, errand coordination, and household organization. The ideal candidate is self-directed and proactive, warm with guests, highly trustworthy, and comfortable being present in a family home environment both when we are home and when we are not.

Special note:

• Our 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel, named Thursday, is a cherished and permanent member of our household. He lives indoors full-time, is vision-impaired, and will be present during your shifts. The right candidate will be a genuine dog lover - patient, calm, and attentive to his needs. Occasionally, you may be asked to drop him at the groomer or kennel when we are traveling.

Job Duties
GUEST & EVENT DAYS (Primarily Weekends)

• Manage weekend operations of the pool house rental, ensuring seamless and smooth guest check-in and check-out processes
• Prepare the pool area before each booking: clean the pool, clear debris, wipe down outdoor furniture, stock the outdoor fridge, and stage the space for guests
• Greet arriving guests warmly and professionally,
• Remain on-site or on-call during events to handle any guest needs, questions, or unexpected situations
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during bookings calmly and efficiently
• Monitor and manage the family dog during events - ensuring he is comfortable, safe, and not overwhelmed by guest activity
• Perform full post-event cleanup and reset the space for the next booking

HOUSEHOLD OPERATIONS

• Assist with household organization projects, including storage management and inventory
• Support both household and business operations with organizational tasks related to our vineyard and decor businesses - including helping move, organize, or stage decor inventory
• Run errands as needed: grocery runs, supply pickups, pool float replacement, and more
• Donation and Goodwill drop-offs as needed - collecting, organizing, and transporting items for donation
• Storage unit runs - transporting items to and from our storage unit as needed
• Store returns (Amazon, retail, etc.) and pickup orders
• Restock household supplies - paper goods, cleaning supplies, and everyday staples
• Accept deliveries and sign for packages on behalf of the household
• Perform light cleaning and home maintenance tasks between bookings
• Check on the property when we are traveling or out of town
• Schedule and coordinate vendor appointments (lawn care, repairs, maintenance services) and follow up to ensure work is completed
• Pet care assistance: drop-off and pickup at the groomer or kennel when the family is traveling
• Support day-to-day household logistics to keep our home and both businesses running smoothly

Qualifications

• Age 25 or older
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license - ability to run local errands in your own car is required
• Three professional references required
• Must consent to a background check
• Must be a dog lover - genuinely comfortable around dogs and calm with older, special-needs pets (we have a 10 yr old blind cocker spaniel)
• Excellent interpersonal skills - comfortable greeting and hosting guests you have never met
• High degree of trustworthiness and personal integrity - you will have access to our home when we are not present
• Comfortable working in an active family home with family members present
• Self-motivated and proactive - able to manage tasks independently without constant direction
• Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail
• Adaptable and solutions-oriented when unexpected situations arise
• Experience in hospitality, property management, personal assistance, or a related field is a strong plus
