CellarMaster (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

LaBelle Winery and Vineyards is seeking a passionate and motivated Cellarmaster for a small, quality-focused winery and vineyard, located in Amherst, New Hampshire, future home of Merrimack River Valley AVA. With a continuously growing production of 10.000+ cases, we strive to produce exceptional whites and reds along with our fruit wine portfolio and future sparkling program.
Within a small team environment, under the direction of the Winemaker, the Cellarmaster will contribute to all aspects of winemaking process and will help oversee and participate in all cellar operations from grape to bottle and occasionally help with vineyard work. This is a hands-on position, the qualified candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of the winemaking process and have an unwavering desire to make compelling wines by being engaged every step of the way.

This position has the potential to grow into an assistant winemaker position.

Requirements:
-3+ years of production experience
-Strong understanding of winemaking processes and cellar hygiene.
-Proven ability to operate effectively in a quality-oriented winery
-Commitment to continuous improvement
-Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
-Relevant laboratory experience preferred, but not required
-Degree in Enology or related field preferred, but not required
-Forklift proficiency
-Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
-General computer literacy
-Ability to work long hours when required
-Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and work in some difficult conditions, including but not limited to hot, cold and wet environments, on slippery surfaces, and on ladders and in high places.
