Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, inventory, and store presentation while fostering a positive work environment that encourages team development and growth.

Duties

• Assist in managing store operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in all transactions.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote products and enhance store visibility.
• Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Use knowledge of wine, beer, liquor to assist customers and provide recommendations.
• Stock shelves, displays, coolers.
• Receive deliveries and review invoices for accuracy.

Skills

• Proficiency in retail management practices with a focus on sales management and customer service excellence.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
• Experience in supervising teams with a focus on training & development initiatives.
• Solid understanding of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership qualities to motivate staff and drive performance results.
• Familiarity with merchandising techniques, stocking procedures, and marketing strategies.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, employees, and management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.35 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
