About our Kitchen:

We prepare fresh, locally sourced wine country foods in our on-site kitchen to accompany our wine selections. We approach preparing food in much the same way we make wine. We start with the finest ingredients. We keep it simple, and we prepare food with a light touch that showcases the best combinations of the rich and subtle flavors in the ingredients of each dish. It is uncomplicated & casual fare that can easily be enjoyed outdoors, with no compromise on quality.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

The ability to work in a team is top priority. Strong organization and efficiency in the kitchen a must.

·      Minimum one year of cooking experience

·      Excellent kitchen administration knowledge

·      Active listening skills

·      The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 50 pounds at a time 

·      Exceptional time management skills 

·      Excellent food preparation and cooking skills. Know the different methods of chopping vegetables, dividing meat, filleting fish and combining salads, herbs and spices, along with how to portion dishes and work with precision to bring recipes to life.

·      Knowledge of proper methods of operating kitchen appliances and utensils with a strong attention to safety

·      Strong communication skills

·      Ability to get along with coworkers and be helpful to guests

·      Desire to contribute to culinary creativity and menu development

Tasks

·      Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations

·      Food preparation including cleaning and cutting ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks 

·      Plate prepared foods based on Executive Chef's guidance

·      Work with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

·      Wash and clean the kitchen and all cooking utensils

·      Store the equipment at the end of shifts 

·      Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

 

Salary:
Based on level of experience.
