Job Title: Marketing Coordinator or Marketing Manager (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Oregon’s leading winery and the world’s leading producer of premium Pinot Gris, King Estate, is seeking an exceptional candidate with hands-on graphic design skills to join our innovative and forward thinking marketing team. The ideal candidate will be incredibly detail oriented with great organizational abilities and still able to excel in a very fast-paced work environment that often requires flexibility and the capability to multi-task. This position uniquely combines traditional marketing and cutting edge social media skills.
The job: Assisting the Director of Marketing with any and all aspects of a comprehensive state-of-the-industry marketing program, while taking ownership of the label compliance process as required by the TTB, taking labels all the way from submission to approval. You will be the custodian of the timelines for label production and keep the Director of Marketing and other relevant departments on track to ensure timely production and receipt of typo-free, barcode working, ice bucket performing, picture perfect labels.
Your core must-have skills and qualities:
• Graphic design proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
• Experience building brands with social media and blogs
• Proficient with MS Office suite: power point, excel, word
• Very strong communication skills including oral communication, writing and editing
• Very strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt and think fast on your feet
Job requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in marketing, creative design, or a closely related field
• Some schedule flexibility, including occasionally weekend work and some travel.
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Ability to walk uneven ground to lead tours of the vineyard and winery
• Must be over 21 years of age
• Must work well in a team environment
Huge plus if you have:
• Experience with wine labeling and TTB compliance
• Multimedia skills: photography, video production and editing
• Experience writing or speaking about wine to an audience
• Pre-existing professional wine experience, or a knowledge and passion for wine
• Strong knowledge of HTML and WordPress
• Comfortable presenting to groups and speaking in public
