Pomum Cellars, an award winning premium wine producer located in Woodinville WA is looking for passionate individuals to join our team. We are seeking one or various weekend tasting room associates. Our Tasting Room associates are the first and most important brand ambassadors and shall be well spoken, polished, hard-working, and highly independent. We seek one or more individuals who are passionate about wine and demonstrate warmth and grace with our customers. 

Our Tasting Room associate will work closely with the owner winemaker and will quickly be able to operate completely independently managing all tasks related to a winery tasting room. This position is part time and primarily intended for someone who is passionate about wine and can spare time during the weekend to be one of the primary faces of the winery to the public. Besides operating the tasting room the selected candidate may also be responsible for various outreach programs including offsite demonstrations, wine tastings and winemaker dinners. 

Performance Measures
•  Achievement of retail goals, including sales, wine club sign-ups and data collection.
•  Effective engagement with consumers, including educating the public and maximizing both sales and wine club memberships. 
•  Accuracy of inventory management and other operational duties. 
•  Development and growth of business from outreach efforts.

Position Responsibilities
•  Promote and sell wines and wine club memberships by assisting and educating guests in tasting wines and making purchasing decisions.
•  Oversee and support inventory process. 
•  Occasionally represent the brand in the market for wine tastings, festivals and winemaker dinners.
•  Manage tasting room floor operations which include but are not limited to maintaining housekeeping standards, cash handling and managing opening and closing procedures.
•  Generate and execute ideas to build tasting room traffic. Track and measure success of programs and campaigns.
•  Undertake various hospitality duties such as VIP hosting, assisting with club and private events, and conducting private tasting programs.
•  Manage POS system including inventory, sales structure, pricing and tasting menu. Troubleshoot POS or other systems as needed, while working with the remote IT department.

Qualifications and Competencies
•  Experience in customer service oriented luxury retail, restaurant or hospitality environment with strong relationship building ability as well as excellent customer service and sales skills.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a genuine desire to help customers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. 
•  Project management and leadership skills as well as great multi-tasking ability.
•  Have a general knowledge of wine and display strong interest and ability to undergo a comprehensive learning process.
•  Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. General POS proficiency desired.
•  Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
