Tasting Room Associate (Potentially Assist Manager)


You are outgoing, positive, classy and have lots of energy! You enjoy people and have a passion for fine wines! Lachini Vineyards, Oregon producer of ultra-premium Estate Pinot Noir, has an immediate opening for PT Tasting Room Associate in our Washington tasting room.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with a professional demeanor and experience in the wine industry (preferable) to join our great team and serve an upscale clientele. A high wine IQ and sales background is strongly desired; however an exuberant spirit & can-do attitude is essential! Experience with POS & technology/software systems, and social media is also a plus. There is potential for growth into management, marketing or wholesale sales. At a minimum, this position involves flexible weekend days - primarily Fri-Sun shifts (winter) & Monday - Sunday (spring/summer). Must be available holidays (except Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Days) and will consist of 12-30 weekly hours. Can lead to full-time if desired.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Greet Tasting Room visitors, present Lachini wines, their information and winery history, administer wine tastings, develop customer relations (including with tour group operators & local businesses), conduct wine and wine club sales including entry into POS system and daily closing reconciliations, restocking, database entry, maintain organization and cleanliness of the Tasting Room. Will also include working special events -- both on & off-site.

Qualifications:
Sales background, with a preference for wine/spirits, restaurant, or hospitality industry necessary. Must be social, positive, dependable, professional, have excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, understand POS program applications, have a strong work ethic, be able to work well independently and as a team player and be customer service oriented. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for shifts of 4-6 hours. Applicants must be 21 years of age and have a valid WA drivers license with clean driving record.

Hourly Compensation DOE + commissions
