Tasting Room Associate (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We are a boutique tasting room located in the Warehouse district of Woodinville looking for the right person to join our growing tasting bar team.

The ideal candidate will be:

Current hours of operation are Thursday thru Sunday; availability on these days is crucial.  Occasionally, shifts on other days may occur.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Greet visitors and educate guests about our wine

·         Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions with a cash register and P.O.S. system

·         Serve cheese and charcuterie selections and provide wine pairing suggestions

·         Sell wine and wine club memberships to guests without creating a "hard sell" environment

·         Attend outside events as necessary

·         Work at Tasting Room for private events as necessary

·         Maintain a clean and organized tasting room

·         Develop and foster working relationships with current wine club members and other key guests as opportunities arise 

·         Quickly locate, accurately pull, and keep track of all products in inventory, which includes:

1.      30+ current release wines from multiple wineries

2.      A large selection of librarried vintages

3.      Future wines that have been prestaged for vintage changes or are being used as judging submissions

·         Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of our wines, company history, and authentic family culture

Qualifications:

• Passion for wine and food pairings with a strong knowledge and enthusiasm to continue learning

• Ability to communicate effectively with many different types of individuals including guests, other staff members, owners, management, and all others at the tasting room

• Proven ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently while maintaining a positive, "guest-first" attitude

• 1 year retail sales experience (or related) with a P.O.S. system is required; tasting room experience preferred

• Excellent record of attendance with previous employers

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds overheard repeatedly and push up to 100 pounds with a dolly

• Current Washington State Food Handler's card required

• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required

• Must obtain Washington State Class 12 Liquor Permit within 60 days of hire

• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours

• Weekend availability required; some weekday hours are also a possibility

Salary is $12.00 to $14.00 per hour + tips.  Hours start at approximately 10 per week with the possibility of growth as the company grows.
